True but I don't see him coming back considering he had not even a full month here and has played in other destinations before. He has no ties to Elmira except that Cornell is an hour away but i'm sure most of his school buddies all live elsewhere as most Cornell attendees end up leaving the area.

No but he had a chance to win here and there are plenty of AHL clubs looking for guys like him who can chip in like he did last year.

True but aside from Patrick returning as coach this year what makes you think we will be any good? Why would Afr spend any money this year if he isn't sure he will get to stick around? He's already a cheapskate, he should just extend it to the on ice product, at least then we would get the full Afr experience.

Well he could either spend money and get people to come or not have any sponsorship money, season ticket holder money, concession money, etc and then he just pissed his money he gave to the E to be in their good standing away too. If he half asses it nobody comes and he loses big time.

But in that regard it's always one giant crapshoot. You can sell the notion a good team is coming every year but anything can happen. Last years team was great and nobody came. I wonder if he's really in good standing with the E or if that was just publicity propoganda. I can't imagine how they could not be hearing this mess along with knowing Afr's screw ups in the past and just think all is well. I mean they do know he cold never be apart of the AHL again for instance, right?

Being off 5 % with all of the stuff swirling last year to me wasn't all that bad and who cares if he can't be part of an AHL franchise again. If Bingham has a good track record of getting guys looks in the A then they will come. Martinson made his career out of it.

RE: Jackals Protected List
5% of what exactly? I see we lost around 175 people. Not sure it will get better next year either. I mean this is a one year agreement and any sort of a breach in contract kills it. It's essentially in the county's hands. Next June they can do whatever they want. Uncertainty reigns suprerme again. I as i'm sure many others feel that Afr won't be back after this year regardless on if he lives up to said contract deal.
