Columbus Signs Center Frischmon
Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch announced that the Columbus Blue Jackets have signed center Trevor Frischmon to a one-year two-way NHL-American Hockey League contract. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Center Stephens Signs in Germany
Rapid City, SD - The Rapid City Rush announced today that center Mitch Stephens has signed with the Rosenheim Starbulls of the German Oberliga.
Stephens was acquired by the Rush back on February 8th in a trade with the Laredo Bucks.

Mudbugs Officially Introduce New Owners
Bossier City, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs of the Central Hockey League today announced the official transfer of team ownership from John Madden to Tommy and Leslie Scott of Shreveport. The Scott's were formally introduced to the media as the new owners of the franchise earlier today during a press conference at the CenturyTel Center.

DeCaro Returns to Mudbugs
Bossier City, LA - On the same day the new owners of the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs were formally introduced, the team also announced its first player signing for the 2009-2010 Central Hockey League season. Goaltender John DeCaro has signed to return to Bossier-Shreveport for his third year with the club after spending last season with the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers.

Tempe, AZ - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that the Oklahoma City Blazers and the New Mexico Scorpions will not play in the 2009-10 season. The league will play the 2009-10 season with 15 participating teams.

Komets Select Two, Lose Three in IHL Drafts
Fort Wayne, IN - The International Hockey League held it's draft for expansion teams Dayton and Quad City Thursday. The Dayton Gems and Quad City Mallards will begin play in the IHL when the 2009-10 season begins in October.
