Senators Assign Bass and Elliott To Binghamton

Binghamton, NY - The Ottawa Senators assigned today goaltender Brian Elliott and center Cody Bass to the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.

Bass, 21, has four goals, seven assists and 55 penalty minutes in 38 AHL games with Binghamton. The Owen Sound, Ont. native skated in his first National Hockey League game with Ottawa on Dec. 17, 2007 against Atlanta. In 25 total games (21 regular season games, four playoff games) with Ottawa in 2007-08, Bass registered three goals, two assists and 25 penalty minutes.

Elliott, 23, played in 44 games with the B-Sens last season and posted a 18-19-1 record with a 2.81 goals-against-average and .915 save percentage. Elliott started his first NHL game with Ottawa on Oct. 10, 2007, making 28 saves and allowing just one goal in a victory over Atlanta.
