Bossier City, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs today announced the additions of two new players who will make their club debuts tonight against the Allen Americans at 7:05 pm at the CenturyTel Center. Forward James DeLory and defenseman Tysen Dowzak both have been assigned to Bossier-Shreveport by NHL teams.

DeLory, 21, was assigned to the Mudbugs by the Florida Panthers. The 6-5, 225-pound rookie started the season with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League before making his way to Bossier City.

A fourth-round draft pick of the San Jose Sharks in 2006, DeLory spent the past five seasons with Oshawa of the Ontario Hockey League (Major Junior), where he racked up 592 penalty minutes along with 94 points in 276 games. In his time with the Generals, DeLory often skated on the same line as New York Islanders rookie center John Tavares, who was the first overall selection in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. DeLory skated in one professional game last season with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL.

Tysen Dowzak, who measures in at 6'5" and 212 pounds, has been assigned to Bossier-Shreveport by the New York Rangers. A native of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Dowzak patrolled the blueline for the Western Hockey League's Kelowna Rockets (Major Junior) for the past four years, contributing 38 points and 304 penalty minutes in 220 appearances.

Dowzak has appeared in a total of ten professional games (regular season and playoffs) leading up to this year. He participated in five ECHL playoff games with the Texas Wildcatters in 2007-08 and added five more pro games last season. Dowzak skated in one AHL game last year with the Hartford Wolfpack and played four more with the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL.
