Tempe, AZ - The Central Hockey League (CHL) introduced today its new brand slogan unveiling ‘The Center of Hockey' and its accompanying logo. The logo and brand philosophy was originally introduced at the league's recently completed Summer Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.
The CHL, in its 17th season, has developed as one of the top minor leagues in all of sports drawing more than 2.3 million fans during the 2007-08 season and leading all North American professional ‘AA' hockey leagues in average attendance for six of the past seven seasons.
The CHL's Director of Business Development, Kevin V. Huhn, presented the brand to all CHL delegates at the CHL's Summer Conference and has received great support from the industry for the league, its vision and its goal to help the game of hockey at all levels.
The NHL's Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly, commented:
“The National Hockey League applauds the efforts of the CHL, not only in developing players, but also in producing a quality entertainment product for its fans. The CHL is carving its niche as ‘The Center of Hockey'.”
Hockey Canada's President, Bob Nicholson, had the following to say:
“I love the new direct branding that the CHL has taken to clearly define their league and the great game of hockey.”
