Windsor, CO - The Colorado Eagles announced
today that forward Kevin Ulanski - a former
University of Denver Pioneer - has signed with the team for the
upcoming season. Ulanski, who joins defenseman Erik Adams as DU alum on
the team's roster, served as an assistant captain on the Pioneers'
back-to-back national championship teams in 2004 and 2005.
Ulanski,
a Madison, Wisconsin native, has spent the past three seasons split
among three different leagues (the UHL, ECHL and AHL) - including 40
games in the AHL last year. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound winger finished
the 2007-08 season with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL, posting 24
points (6-16-24) in 37 games.
Since turning pro, Ulanski
has registered 125 points (45-80-125) in 217 career games. His best
season statistically came in 2006-07 when he scored 66 points
(26-40-66) in 61 games for the Rockford IceHogs of the UHL and another
two assists in 13 games with the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL. Ulanski
has also excelled in the postseason, averaging a point-per-game in 22
career playoff contests.
"I'm definitely looking forward
to coming back to Colorado," said Ulanski. "The Eagles are obviously a
team that's established a winning tradition, and I love to win.
Hopefully I can help them win another championship."
