Dayton, OH - The Dayton Bombers Head Coach Bill McDonald announced today the signing of defenseman Tyler Wooddisse. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Wooddisse hails from Brampton, Ontario, and comes to the Bombers from the Youngstown (Ohio) Steelhounds of the CHL. A late addition to the Steelhounds squad in 2008, he appeared in 9 regular season games, recording 4 assists, and 5 playoff games.

"It's feels great to be coming to Dayton and to play in the ECHL," said Wooddisse. "I'm hoping to be able to provide some offense while still fulfilling my defensive role."

The six-foot, 200-pound Wooddisse also played for the SPHL's Twin City Cyclones in the 2007-08 season, picking up 25 points (5g,20a) in 28 games before moving on to a five-game stint with the ECHL South Division Mississippi Sea Wolves .

"He's a good two-way player with a strong commitment to the game," coach McDonald said. "He's got an edgy style and is a tough competitor; he's definitely a guy you like having on your team."

Wooddisse was a four-year skater in the OPJHL, playing for both Oakville and Burlington. In his 98 games with Burlington, the defenseman totaled 29 goals and 54 assists for 83 points. He was named team MVP and Best Defensive Player during the Cougars' 2006-06 campaign.
