Dayton, OH - Dayton Bombers Head Coach Bill McDonald announced today the signing of forward Nino Musitelli for the 2008-09 season. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"It feels great to get into the ECHL and to have this opportunity," Musitelli said. "I'm happy to play in Dayton. Plus it's close to my alma mater."

Musitelli, a forward from Macomb, Michigan, played four years at Miami University (Ohio) and was a member of the CCHA Championship squad in 2006. In 133 career games as a RedHawk, Musitelli acquired 21 goals and 37 assists for 58 points. He was whistled for a combined 171 PIM.

"We are very excited to have Nino join us this year," McDonald said. "He's got a nose for the net and doesn't mind getting his nose a little dirty."

Musitelli echoed that thought, adding that he's "not the biggest guy (standing just 5'8"), I try to make up for it in puck handling and goal scoring."

Prior to his collegiate career, Musitelli played for the Danville Wings of the USHL, where he picked up 32 points (12g,20a) in 40 games during the 2003-04 season. He also skated for the Compuware Ambassadors of the NAHL in 2002-03, raking in 20 goal and 18 assists in 45 games.
