Thunder Signs Thomas to Contract Extension
Stockton, CA - The Stockton
Thunder, the proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers and San Jose
Sharks of the National Hockey League, has exercised a one-year option
for the 2011-12 season and signed head coach Matt Thomas to a two-year
contract extension through 2013-14, Thunder president Dan Chapman
announced today. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not
disclosed.

ECHL Opens 24th Season on October 14
Princeton, NJ - The ECHL
announced on Monday that its 24th season will begin on Oct. 14 with
eight games being played in six states from Alaska to Florida and
continues on Oct. 15 with 10 more games in eight states.

Raymond Accepts Head Coaching Position in Europe
Bakersfield, CA - The
Bakersfield Condors, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, have
announced today that head coach Marty Raymond has accepted a position as
head coach of a team in the Austrian Elite League. His record-setting
tenure with the Condors comes to end immediately.

Expansion Membership Approved for Colorado
Princeton, NJ – The ECHL
announced that the Board of Governors has approved the Expansion
Membership application of the Colorado Eagles for admission to the ECHL.
The addition of the Eagles will expand the League to 20 teams for the
2011-12 season.

Bootland Signs New 2-Year Deal
Kalamazoo, MI - The Kalamazoo
Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey
League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport
Sound Tigers, announce the organization has re-signed director of hockey
operations and head coach Nick Bootland to a two-year contract through
the 2012-13 season; per team policy, the terms of the contract will be
undisclosed.

Olver Joins Condors Staff
Bakersfield, CA - The
Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, have
announced John Olver has joined the organization as Assistant to the
Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel. He will assist Raymond
specifically in the areas of recruiting and scouting at the pro and
amateur levels.

season. It will be his 8th full season as head coach of the Condors, and
10th full season with the organization.
