ECHL Opens 24th Season on October 14
Princeton, NJ - The ECHL
announced on Monday that its 24th season will begin on Oct. 14 with
eight games being played in six states from Alaska to Florida and
continues on Oct. 15 with 10 more games in eight states.

Expansion Membership Approved for Colorado
Princeton, NJ – The ECHL
announced that the Board of Governors has approved the Expansion
Membership application of the Colorado Eagles for admission to the ECHL.
The addition of the Eagles will expand the League to 20 teams for the
2011-12 season.

Shebest Receives ECHL Outstanding Media Award

announced on Tuesday that Pam Shebest of The Kalamazoo Gazette has been
selected as the 2010-11 recipient of the ECHL Outstanding Media Award.

Former ECHL Referee Hebert Makes NHL Debut
Princeton, NJ - The ECHL
announced that Jean Hebert, who worked as a full-time referee in the
ECHL in 2009-10 including Games 1 and 4 of the 2010 Kelly Cup Finals,
made his National Hockey League debut on March 30.

Daavettila, Connolly Share Reebok ECHL Plus Performer Award
Princeton, NJ – The ECHL on
Monday announced that Trent Daavettila of the Kalamazoo Wings and
Brendan Connolly of the Greenville Road Warriors are the recipients of
the Reebok Plus Performer of the Year award after each finishing with a
plus-minus rating of +28.
