EPHL Announces Brooklyn & Danbury Suspensions & Fines

Little River, SC - The Eastern Professional Hockey League Office today handed down suspensions and fines to members of both the Brooklyn Aces and Danbury Mad Hatters organizations as a result of a multi-player altercation which took place during the third period of last Saturday's game (November 29th) in Danbury, Connecticut.

The Eastern Professional Hockey League heads into its sixth weekend of play with three games on the schedule. It will be the last three game week of the season as things will then start to pick up as the schedule heads towards Christmas and New Years. The Jersey Rockhoppers will be home for two of the games on Friday & Saturday while the Danbury Mad Hatters are the other host team on Saturday night.

Three weeks into the 2008-09 Eastern Professional Hockey League season and the Brooklyn Aces are putting it all together. The Aces are in first place in the EPHL with a record of four wins and only one loss. They have defeated the other three EPHL teams and have outscored their opponents 28 to 17.

The Eastern Professional Hockey League is only five games into its inaugural 2008-2009 season but the teams in Brooklyn, Danbury, and New Jersey have been greeted by enthusiastic fans, including near capacity crowds in both Brooklyn and in Danbury on their opening nights. This week’s EPHL games include the home opener for the Hudson Valley Bears at the Ice Time Sports Complex in Newburgh, New York this coming Saturday night (15th).

EPHL Releases Revised 2008-09 Schedule

The new Eastern Professional Hockey League today announced the revised schedule for its inaugural season of games. The schedule features four teams playing a total of 100 league games. The Brooklyn Aces, Danbury Mad Hatters, Jersey Rockhoppers, and the Hudson Valley Bears will each play 50 regular season games during the 2008-09 season.
