Fayetteville, NC - The Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) announced today that the club has re-signed forward Marc Norrington. He is the first player under contract for the 2008-09 campaign. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Norrington, a 6'0'', 205-pound centerman from Grand Blanc, Michigan re-joins the FireAntz for his third campaign with the club. Last season, Norrington set career highs in goals (21), assists (21), and points (42). He also led the club in plus/minus rating with a +12. Norrington also had three goals and two assists in five playoff games.
"Marc had a tremendous season for us last year." Head Coach Tommy Stewart added, "I look for him to continue his growth, as a hockey player, and be even better for us this upcoming season."
