Fayetteville, NC - The Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), in a dispersal draft of former Jacksonville Barracudas players held on Monday, obtained the rights to defensemen Craig Geerlinks and Chris Shaw.

Geerlinks, a 6'1'', 210-pound defenseman from St. Thomas, Ontario split time between the Barracudas and the Knoxville Ice Bears. In 49 games played he netted three goals, 19 assists, 22 points and 82 penalty minutes. He was also a key contributor in the Barracudas' run to the President's Cup finals tallying seven points, on one goal and six assists, in eight playoff games.

Shaw, a 6'3'', 220-pound defenseman from Surrey, BC played for three teams in the 2007-08 campaign. He suited up for the Barracudas, the Huntsville Havoc and the Victoria Salmon Kings of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). In 32 games he had four assists and 55 penalty minutes.
