Generals Bring Back Cesky

Flint, MI - His shooting prowess may have been the most memorable to Flint Generals fans this past season when he scored some great goals. The Flint Generals of the International Hockey League announced today that the man with the big shot, Jaroslav Cesky will be back in a uniform for the 2008-2009 season.
Cesky notched 16 goals, 10 assists for 26 points and 48 penalty minutes in 45 games for the Generals. He had two power play goals, three game winners and had two first goals. Down the stretch during the regular season, Cesky fired some huge goals that helped the Generals maintain their playoff position and get much needed wins.
The Kobyliska, Czech Republic native appeared in all five Generals' Turner Cup Playoff games where he had two goals and six penalty minutes. "We're happy that Jaro's returning," said Generals Head Coach Peter South. "He'll provide us with scoring and he's versatile enough to play either wing."
Cesky spent his previous three seasons in the Central Hockey League with the Tulsa Oilers and the Oklahoma City Blazers. In 240 career CHL games, the 5-foot, 11-inch 185 pound forward had 70 goals and 91 assists for 161 points and 373 penalty minutes.
Cesky began his professional career with the Adirondack Icehawks in the former UHL where he posted 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points in 61 regular season games.
Cesky played collegiate hockey at Augsburg College in Minnesota where in four years he had 63 goals, 77 assists for 140 points and 158 penalty minutes in 63 games.
