Flint, MI - The Flint Generals, proud members of the IHL, announced Monday morning the additions of center Dan Lapointe and defenseman Bryan Nathe. The two come to Flint from Dayton in a trade for future considerations due to Dayton in a December 2009 trade with Muskegon.
Lapointe, a 6'2" 198 pound center, is in his fourth professional season having played in the ECHL and the CHL. This Victoria, B.C. native has spent most of this first half of the 2009-10 IHL season with the Dayton, scoring 7 goals and 10 assists in 34 games for the Gems.
Nathe is a big defenseman from Elk River, MN is in his sixth professional season, beginning his career in 2004-05 with the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL. Last season Nathe racked up 7 goals and 20 assists in 59 games for the Wichita Thunder. The 6'0" 190 pounder joined the Gems at the start of the 2009-10 season scoring 2 goals and 6 assists in 39 games played.
