announced Tuesday that veteran defenseman Guy Dupuis is retiring from
professional hockey after a career spanning 21 years.

Former Komets Owner David Welker Passes
Fort Wayne, IN - The Fort Wayne
Komets learned Monday that former Komets president, general manager and
owner David Welker died Sunday, April 10, at a nursing home in
Shreveport, Louisiana, at approximately 11:00pm at the age of 73.

Boucher Named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week
Tempe, AZ – The Central Hockey
League announced today that Fort Wayne’s Nick Boucher has been named the
Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period
ending March 27, 2011 (the final week of the regular season). It marks
the second time this season Boucher has won the weekly award taking home
the honor for the week of January 4-10 also.
