"When we set out to rebuild this year's roster, we wanted to retain players that exemplify a strong work ethic and a desire to compete," Falcons Head Coach and General Manager Matt Thomas said.

The 2008-09 season will be Konkle's fourth as a pro, and his second with the Falcons. Despite playing in just 41 games last season, the 25-year-old tied for seventh on the team in scoring with 39 points on 16 goals and 23 assists. Konkle missed the final 31 games of the regular season, and the playoffs, with an injury sustained on February 1 at Las Vegas. In 173 career professional games, Konkle has scored 64 goals and added 60 assists for 127 points. During the 2005-06 season, he participated in the UHL All-Star Game while a member of the Elmira Jackals.

"Jarrett is a highly skilled player who has the capabilities to be a 30-plus goal scorer," Thomas said. "His season was cut short last year while he was playing his best and we look for him to pick up where he left off."

Marcoux enters his second pro season in 2008-09. Last year as a rookie, he appeared in 62 games with the Falcons, scoring four goals and adding 17 assists for 21 points, while also accumulating 80 penalty minutes. The 24-year-old led the club in plus-minus with a plus-18 rating.

"Daryl is a true warrior, and that his reflected in his plus/minus rating," Thomas said. "He comes to play every night and adds a reliable element to our blue line. We look for him to add to his responsibilities this year."
