Canadiens Recall Darche From Bulldogs

Montreal, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that forward Mathieu Darche has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Darche, 33, has played in 32 games with the Bulldogs this year earning 25 points (16 goals, nine assists) and four penalty minutes. The native of Montreal, Quebec is a veteran of 101 NHL games with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Nashville Predators, San Jose Sharks and Tampa Bay Lightning recording 24 points (eight goals, 16 assists) and 26 penalty minutes.

In 552 career AHL games, the 6-foot-1, 215-pound left wing has registered 443 points (212 goals, 231 assists) and served 290 penalty minutes. Darche was signed as a free agent by Montreal on July 2, 2009.
