Canadiens Recall Pyatt; Assign Trotter and White To Hamilton

Montreal, QC - The Montreal Canadiens announced today that forward Tom Pyatt has been recalled from Hamilton while forwards Brock Trotter and Ryan White have been assigned to the Bulldogs.
Pyatt, 22, played in 19 games with the Canadiens earlier this season but was held pointless. In 36 games with the 'Dogs this season, the native of Thunder Bay, Ontario has registered 29 points (11 goals, 18 assists) and six penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11, 187-pound centre played in 73 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack last season earning 37 points (15 goals, 22 assists) along with 22 penalty minutes. Pyatt was drafted by the Rangers in the 4th round, 107th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
Trotter, 22, played in his first two NHL game this past weekend with Montreal but was held pointless. The native of Brandon, Manitoba currently leads the Bulldogs with 53 points (25 goals, 28 assists) and has served 36 penalty minutes in 49 games in 2009-2010. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound centre completed his first full professional season last year with Hamilton where he registered 49 points (18 goals, 31 assists) and 32 penalty minutes in 76 games. Trotter was signed as a free agent by Montreal on July 2, 2008.
White, 21, has played in 16 games with the Canadiens this year earning two assists and 16 penalty minutes. In 37 games with the Bulldogs in 2009-2010, the Brandon, Manitoba native has earned 20 points (12 goals, eight assists) along with 95 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 193-pound centre was drafted by the Canadiens in the 3rd round, 66th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
