Hartford, CT - Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack have re-signed forward Mike Ouellette to an American Hockey League contract.

The 2007-08 campaign was Ouellette's first in the AHL, and the former Dartmouth Big Green contributed 13 goals and 13 assists for 26 points, and registered 16 penalty minutes and a +8 rating. Eleven of Ouellette's 26 points, and eight of his 13 goals, came in the season's last 16 games. In the postseason, Ouellette tallied a goal and two assists for three points. Prior to being recalled by the Wolf Pack on November 5th from the ECHL's Charlotte Checkers, the 6-0, 199-pound Ouellette posted three goals and two assists for five points in six ECHL contests.

Ouellette, 26, spent his first full pro year, 2006-07, with Charlotte, notching 17 goals and 30 assists for 47 points and a team-best +15 in 69 outings. Prior to turning pro, the Kamloops, B.C. native played four seasons at Dartmouth College, totaling 58 goals and 80 assists for 138 points in 136 career games. He finished his Dartmouth tenure as the school's all-time leader in career games-played and fifth in Big Green history in career points. In his Senior season, 2005-06, Ouellette earned recognition as a First-Team ECAC All-Star, ECAC Best Defensive Forward and All-Ivy Player of the Year, after notching a team-best 37 points (13 goals, 24 assists) and finishing tied for fifth in the ECAC in points and assists. Following the conclusion of his college career, Ouellette entered the pro ranks by posting one assist in three 2005-06 games with the AHL's Springfield Falcons.
