Huntsville, AL - Drew Carter, Director of Group Sales for the Huntsville Havoc, has resigned his position after five seasons with HSV Sports and four with the Havoc. His last day with the organization will be Friday, August 1st.

"I want to thank the entire Havoc organization, sponsors and fans for a great five years with the team," Carter said. "This decision was not an easy one to make but it is a move that I am looking forward to and will bring new challenges with it. I am looking forward to being able to watch and enjoy a game now as a fan. I wish the team nothing but the best in the future and hope that Havoc hockey continues to grow in the coming years."

Replacing Carter will be Kurtis Matzkind. Matzkind most recently served as the Ticket and Fan Development Manager at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. He also served as the Marketing and Ticket Manager at the University of California-Riverside for one year after serving as the assistant at that position from 2004-06.

Matzkind earned a degree in History from the University of California-Irvine and holds a Masters degree in Sports Management from the University of San Francisco.

"Drew has been a part of the Havoc family since the beginning and he will be missed by all of us, the team and the fans," Havoc President Keith Jeffries said. "We are excited for Drew as he changes directions in his career journey and we know he will be successful in all his ventures. Drew leaves big shoes to fill in the Havoc office and all of us will pitch in and assist in the transition. We feel incredibly blessed to have filled his position so quickly and with someone so qualified. We were all impressed with Kurtis and feel confident he will be up to speed before the season begins on November 1st."
