Rochester, MI - The International Hockey League (IHL) announced Monday that the IHL Board of Governors unanimously approved the transfer of ownership for two IHL cities this morning. The Board approved the transfer of the Bloomington PrairieThunder from Tony Lisman to Timothy Leighton.

"The IHL is very excited to have local ownership represent the PrairieThunder," stated Paul L. Pickard, IHL President/CEO. "We enjoy their membership in the league and look forward to the new local owners providing the community of Bloomington with exciting IHL minor league professional hockey."

Leighton is the owner of a Bloomington law firm which counsels clients in Central Illinois and metropolitan Washington, DC in a variety of practice areas.

The Board of Governors also approved the transfer of ownership from the Parfet family to Bill Johnston for the Kalamazoo Wings.

"The IHL would like to thank the Parfet family for their longtime ownership of professional minor league hockey in Kalamazoo," stated Pickard. "We welcome Mr. Johnston in continuing the K-Wing tradition in Southwest Michigan. Both ownership groups will meet the IHL business model of bringing solid ownership to their perspective member clubs."

Johnston is the President and Chairman of Greenleaf Companies, which includes Greenleaf Trust, Catalyst Development Company LLC, Greenleaf Hospitality and Greenleaf Capital, as well as Stadium Management Company.
