Dineen Named Head Coach of Iowa Chops
Des Moines, IA - The Iowa Chops, members of the American Hockey League and proud affiliate of the NHL's Anaheim Ducks, have announced Gord Dineen as the new head coach. Dineen is the first head coach in Iowa Chops history and the second in the four-year history of an AHL team in Des Moines, Iowa. Also joining Dineen behind the bench will be Assistant Coach Matt Laatsch.

On the eve of the press conference that will announce the name, logo, and colors of the new American Hockey League team in Des Moines, Iowa, their NHL affiliate the Anaheim Ducks, announced today that former Des Moines Buccaneers and Sioux City Musketeers Head Coach and General Manager Bob Ferguson, has been named the new Assistant General Manager of the AHL team in Iowa.

Iowa Secures AHL Affiliation with Anaheim Ducks
Des Moines, IA - The Ducks will have plenty of airtime traveling back and forth from California to Iowa this season, literally. Schlegel Sports, owner of Iowa's American Hockey League (AHL) team, announced Tuesday the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL) will bring their AHL affiliate to Des Moines starting with the 2008-09 season.
