Bucks Sign Desfosses For Season

Laredo, TX - The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced Tuesday that they have signed goatender Kevin Desfosses for the 2009-10 season. Desfosses was signed to a five-game contract by the Bucks on January 14th.
The 22-year-old Desfosses has played in four games for the Bucks posting a 3-1 record with a 2.00 G.A.A and a.948 sv. %. Desfosses has stopped a total of 147 of 155 shots he has faced in a Bucks uniform. Overall this season Desfosses has a record of 6-6 with a 2.80 G.A.A and a.919 sv. %.
"Kevin has played extremely well for us since we brought him in here," said Bucks President/General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "He's played like a veteran goaltender not a rookie. We think he is a big key for us to be successful."
Desfosses, a native of Beauport, Quebec, has stopped 30 or more shots in eight of his 12 starts this season including saving over 30 shots in all four starts for Laredo.
With the Bucks Desfosses has had games with 38, 31, 42 and 36 saves. His 42 saves came in the Bucks 4-2 win at Colorado on January 20th.
Desfosses, 6'0'', 185 pounds, went 6-3 last year for the Port Huron Icehawks (IHL) with a 2.20 G.A.A and a.922 sv. %.
Prior to turning pro Desfosses played four seasons of junior's splitting time between the QJAHL, QMJHL, and SJHL. Desfosses won a combined 65 games during the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons in junior.
