Two Manchester Natives Promoted To Vice Presidents

Manchester, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have promoted Jason Bergeron to Vice President of Ticket Sales and Marketing and Matt Welch to Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, Monarchs President Jeff Eisenberg announced today.

"It has been a pleasure having both Jason and Matt grow from within our organization," Eisenberg said. "It is especially rewarding that they are both Manchester natives. The Monarchs are proud to call Manchester home and we're thrilled to have two of its own as leaders of the front office."

Bergeron joined the Monarchs staff as an Account Executive in August 2002 and worked his way up the corporate ladder to his current role of Vice President of Ticket Sales and Marketing. A native of Manchester, New Hampshire, he graduated from Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a minor in Economics. A former hockey player himself at both Manchester West High School and Nichols College, Bergeron served as both a Head Coach and an Assistant Coach with the Manchester Flames from 2000-04. He is also on the board for the New Hampshire Legends of Hockey and on the Development Committee at the Moore Center Services.

Welch, a native of Manchester, New Hampshire, is responsible for the Monarchs' corporate relationships. A graduate of Ithaca College, Welch has been with the Monarchs since July of 2001 when he joined the team as an Account Executive. Prior to joining the Monarchs, Welch interned with the Fleet Center in the marketing and public relations department. A graduate of Trinity High School, Welch is a member of the Manchester Salvation Army Advisory Committee and the Queen City Catholic Schools Athletic Hall of Fame Committee. He is also a coach in the Sweeney Post American Legion baseball program.
