“We are thrilled to have Tim come back to the organization,” Fury owner Tony Lisman said. “Our years with Tim were some of the most successful we've had in our 16 seasons. Having him back shows our commitment to become the premier franchise in the International Hockey League.”

Taylor rejoins the Fury after a three-year stint with the Quad City hockey organization in Moline, Ill.. He was a member of the Fury organization from 2001-05 as the team's Vice President of Operations. During his time with the Fury, the team won three Colonial Cup Championships (2002, 2004 and 2005).

“I couldn't be happier to be home with an opportunity to oversee one of the most storied traditions in all of minor professional hockey,” Taylor said. “This will be an organization that operates in a professional manner, both on and off the ice, and one that the community will be able to take a tremendous amount of pride in.”

Taylor joined the Quad City Mallards in the summer of 2005 as Senior Vice President of the United Hockey League franchise. A year later, Taylor organized the purchase of the franchise by the QC Sports Ventures group. Following the sale, Taylor was named the team's President.

In the summer of 2007, Taylor organized the acquisition of an American Hockey League Franchise by QC Sports Ventures and then oversaw the transition from the UHL to the American Hockey League. The team became the primary AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, and became known as the Quad City Flames.

Taylor, 35, is a native of Muskegon and graduated from Mona Shores High School in 1990. He went on to study Business Management at the University of Charleston and Professional Golf Management at Ferris State University. Prior to his time with the Fury, Taylor worked as a golf professional and also worked in the prosthetics field. Taylor and his wife, Cindy, have three children: Nathan (7), Nicholas (4) and Samantha (9 months).
