Peoria, IL - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that the Blues' 2008 exhibition schedule will begin in Kansas City against the Los Angeles Kings on Monday, September 22. He also announced that the team will hold an extended training camp in Peoria, Illinois from Oct. 2-3 with a skills competition with the Rivermen and a Blue/White scrimmage game being held on Oct. 3 at the Peoria Civic Center-Carver Arena.
The Blues will play seven exhibition games, three of which will be at Scottrade Center. St. Louis' exhibition opponents include the Los Angles Kings, Dallas Stars, Atlanta Thrashers and Toronto Maple Leafs.
This will mark the third time in six years St. Louis will play an exhibition game in Kansas City. The last time was in 2005 vs. the Nashville Predators.
The Blues will hold an extended training camp in Peoria from Oct. 2-3 with a skills competition with the Rivermen and a Blue/White scrimmage. The team will hold an open practice on Oct. 2 and 3 with a Blue/White scrimmage game on Friday night at the Peoria Civic Center-Carver Arena.
