Port Huron, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks announce that center Jeremy Tucker has agreed to terms and will return in the 2008-09 season. Per team policy, details of the deal were not disclosed.

Tucker (5-10, 185 lbs) is entering his fifth professional season and third in the city of Port Huron. A hard-working forward, he turned in 14 points (9g, 5a) and 89 penalty minutes in 61 games with the Icehawks last season. He also had four points (2g, 2a) in five playoff games before suffering an injury.

"Tucker gives 100 percent every time he is on the ice," Head Coach and General Manager Stan Drulia said. "He is gritty, doesn't back down and was a big part of our success during the first round of the playoffs."

The 28-year old Grapevine, Texas native played for the Port Huron Flags in the 2006-07 season and tallied 22 points (6g, 16a). He was named Rookie of the Year and Unsung Hero in that season. He has also played with the CHL Fort Worth Brahmas and junior hockey with the NAHL Grand Rapids Bearcats.

"It's an honor to be able to come back and play with the Icehawks again." Tucker said. "I think we have a good thing going in Port Huron, from the ownership all the way down to the ice. We were one shot away from a championship last year. With Coach Drulia and the group of guys we have coming back, I see no reason why we can't bring home the trophy this season."
