Port Huron, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks
announced that they have added toughness to their offensive core and
signed forward Jason Selleke to a contract for the 2008-09 season. Per

experience, including time with the Fort Wayne Komets and the Flint
Generals in the United Hockey
League. The gritty forward played with the Generals for three seasons
from 2004-2007 and averaged 39 points and 197 penalty minutes per

22 games.
Selleke played with several of his new Icehawks

"Selleke
is the hard-nosed forward that we were looking for," Head Coach and
General Manager Stan Drulia said. "He is a tenacious player that really
gets under the other team's skin and at the same time also puts up
points."
The 30-year old native of St. Clair Shores, MI played four years at Ohio State
University before turning professional with the Indianapolis Ice in the
Central Hockey League. He played two seasons with the team, before
going to Fort Wayne for the 2002-03 campaign. In one season with the
Komets, he turned in 20 points and 114 penalty minutes in 45 games.
In
total, the tough forward has played in 476 professional games and
racked up 281 points (126g, 155a) and 1,153 penalty minutes.
