San Antonio, TX - The San Antonio Rampage announced today that John Krouse has been named the head equipment manager for the Rampage, the Phoenix Coyotes' primary American Hockey League affiliate.
Krouse was previously employed as the head equipment manager for the Iowa Stars, the Dallas Stars' primary AHL affiliate. Prior to his three-year stint with Iowa, Krouse spent six seasons with the Pensacola Ice Pilots of the ECHL where he was named the 2004 ECHL Equipment Manager of the Year.
A native of Rome, N.Y., Krouse began his career as an assistant equipment manager for his brother, Richard, with the Utica Blizzard of the Colonial Hockey League. By the age of 19 he was named head trainer for Winston-Salem Polar Twins in the Southern Hockey League and later spent three seasons as the equipment manager for the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL before joining Pensacola.
Krouse and his wife Kristie have a son, Trevor.
