Treliving will enter his second season with the Coyotes after joining the organization on July 18, 2007 as assistant general manager. Last season, Treliving oversaw player personnel for the Rampage as the team finished the regular season with a record of 42-28-3-7 for 94 points, the third-highest point total ever by a Coyotes' AHL affiliate, and the best season in Rampage franchise history. The team also advanced to the Calder Cup playoffs for the second time.

"We realize how important player development is in today's NHL," said Treliving. "The San Antonio Rampage represent the foundation that a successful Phoenix Coyotes team is built upon. We were pleased with the positive steps the Rampage made last season and are excited to continue that growth in the upcoming season."

Treliving works closely with Maloney on the day-to-day administration of the Coyotes hockey operations. He joined the Coyotes after serving as president of the Central Hockey League (CHL) for seven years, guiding the league to remarkable growth and development.

Under his watch numerous CHL expansion franchises were introduced including the Arizona Sundogs in Prescott Valley, who began play in a new arena in 2006-07, and serve as the Rampage's CHL affiliate.

Treliving helped co-found the Western Professional Hockey League (WPHL) in 1996 and served as the league's vice president and director of hockey operations for five seasons. He also played an integral role in the merger of the WPHL and the CHL in May of 2001, upon which he began his tenure as president of the league.

The Penticton, British Columbia native played five professional hockey seasons from 1990-1995 including stints with the Indianapolis Ice of the International Hockey League and both the New Haven and Prince Edward Island Senators of the AHL. As a defenseman he recorded 102 points (17 goals, 85 assists) and 811 penalty minutes in 243 games in the East Coast Hockey League.

Treliving and his wife, Julie have two daughters, Ryann and Reese.
