Tanguay And Carlsson Headed Back To Toledo

Rockford, IL - Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Tuesday that defenseman Jonathan Carlsson and center Maxime Tanguay have been re-assigned from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League to the Toledo Walleye (ECHL).

Tanguay, 21, was on Rockford's opening day roster for his AHL and professional debut before being sent to Toledo on Oct. 5. He was then brought back to the IceHogs and chipped in right away notching one point (1a) in the 6-3 win over Abbotsford on Nov. 14. The former third-round pick (#69 overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks has skated in three games for the IceHogs.

The Lac Etchemin, Quebec, native has appeared in 12 games for the Walleye this season. He ranks third on the team with 14 points (5g-9a).

Carlsson was in Rockford rehabilitating an upper-body injury. The Uppsala, Sweden native has been held scoreless in six games while recording six penalty minutes with the IceHogs during the 2009-10 campaign. The 21-year-old was drafted by the Blackhawks in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft in the sixth round (#162 overall).

The blue liner has skated in three games with the Walleye before aggravating an injury on Nov. 7. He has notched two points (1g-1a) for the IceHogs' ECHL affiliate.
