Penguins Headed to the Mountain

Wilkes-Barre, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have entered into a multi-year agreement with Entercom Radio Group, it was announced on Tuesday by team president Rich Hixon.

Under the agreement, all Penguins regular season and playoff games will be carried live on The Mountain, 102.3 FM. Additionally, The Mountain will also carry the Penguins Report Radio Show on Thursday nights. Scott Stuccio will handle play-by-play duties for all games, and serve as host of Penguins Report.

"We are extremely excited about teaming up with Entercom and The Mountain," said Hixon. "This new partnership allows the team to reach across demographic lines by working with Entercom's family of stations, and will aid Penguins fans throughout Northeast Pennsylvania in easily finding us on the radio dial."

"We are proud to be the flagship station for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins" said Ryan Flynn, Vice President and Market Manager for Entercom Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. "This addition adds depth to the Mountain brand and enhances our market position."

The new partnership will see cross-station promotion of the team on local Entercom stations, including 102.3 The Mountain, Froggy 101, WILK News Radio and 98.5KRZ, as well as increased promotion of Entercom stations during Penguins home games and in team publications. It will also see Penguins players making regular radio appearances on The Mountain and its local sister stations.
