Wheeling, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, the "AA" affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins,
have re-signed defensemen Todd Spencer, it was announced today by team
President Jim Brooks. As per club policy, no further terms were
disclosed.
"We are excited to have Todd returning to our
defensive corps," said Brooks said. "He provides the kind of physical
presence necessary to win."
Spencer, 25, a native of Brentwood,
NH, scored 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists) in 57 games last season for
the Nailers. The 6-3, 215 pound defensemen also posted 79 penalty
minutes.
In four seasons at Sacred Heart University, Spencer scored 21 points (1 goal, 20 assists) and posted 236 penalty minutes.
