from what it sounds like coming from most TC fans, it is from lack of effort and this may be the coach saying ship up or ship out.

It's a complicated situation and since the team has not made the details public it can't be dicussed on here...

Richards isn't an "enforcer" coach ... or atleast he never has been publicly ...
so must be something semi-serious

I don't know the details or the full story behind it but Matty told the team he didn't want to play anymore....
There is a serious problem with the team that needs to be dealt with and only the owner can fix it...I hope he does before it's too late...

Agreed, and it is NOT the players that are the problem! :pissed:

Some serious decisions need to be made Owner Bob. Is Matty gone? Whats the deal? If one player feels he dosnt want to play, who will be next? things like this end up starting a domino effect. Its starting to seem like Bob is nothing but another KJ!

By KJ do you mean Keith Jeffries?

In the world of sports, no one leaves without a price. I am sure the team wants a player or some money in exchange for one of their top players.
It was his decision to go. The coach is absolutely not to blame. It is the best thing for him and the fans need to accept that it was his decision. The suspension was merely a business move. None of it has been or is personal. It is all business. The team suspended him because he wanted to go.

So why did you not release him instead of team suspension?

Keith gets a bad rap for that, when in all actuality it's not really his fault. He made the best of what he was dealt. Let's see, some idiot (DW) owes you a bunch of money, only instead of paying you your money he gives you a floundering hockey team (hundreds of miles away) with barely 500 people on average for attendance. You're currently starting up a hockey operation with the ability to get thousands of fans to games nightly in your home town. All your money, backing, and basically everything you have worked for is going into the team with the potential. So, you try to make the best of the other team but when it comes down to costing you thousands of dollars and possibly losing the team you were vested in to begin with what do you do? You get rid of it.
Keith did what he could with what he had. He made a mistake, like many others, in trusting Waronker. A mistake I doubt you'll ever see him make again. So really, if you want to hate someone, hate Waronker. Keith tried, it's not his fault there isn't much support in Winston Salem. I would have jumped ship too, were I him. Especially since Huntsville makes him money and all WS ever did was cost him money.

Having lived here in WS my whole life, I know you are dead wrong. But no one wants to listen to the people who have been around the longest, and know how to bring them all back.
As far as your statement on KJ, well it will always be the same song and dance from anybody but Winston Salem fans. We know the truth, we seen the BS EVERY NIGHT! But if it makes you feel better to get on the band wagon then go ahead, we are used to it.... and imune.

You know, if there was support the fans would be there. But there aren't. A team can't survive the way WS is trying to, it's just not going to happen.

I've seen first hand what Keith Jeffries can do with a hockey team. Look at Huntsville. I was there that season, I know what happened. Sounds more like sour grapes to me, on your part. There is no bandwagon, it's right in front of your face. Look at the difference the past few years between WS hockey and Huntsville hockey. Keith does a great job in Huntsville, it's sad that you guys got screwed by DW just like everyone else. But that was only one season ... are you going to blame Keith for every other failure WS has had?
What did Keith do that was so horrible? Not put money into a sinking ship? Make decisions to stay in Huntsville to promote his thriving team? Decide not to lose money on a team that was thrown in his lap as payment of a debt?

Nobody is blaming KJ for any other team. Once again, you are and where not here. You just think you know! Im done with this conversation. Its beating a dead horse.
The point I was making, is that Owner Bob, for some reason will not fire Richie ( just like KJ wouldnt fire Wells). From that, the KJ sob story flowed! Go figure....

I do know quite a bit about that situation ... you brought the conversation up, I'm not going to let you sit here and make false accusations about a situation.

What sob story about Keith? From all directions, he's not the sob story here ... WS is. And I don't mean that as an insult to the team or the fans. It's just the truth, some thing has to be done up there for the team to survive.
As for the firing of Wells, there was a lot more going on than just "he wouldn't fire him". If you knew all you think you know you'd know the the politics behind a fledgling league and know why Wells wasn't fired right away.

Ok...I have to put my two cents worth in here...I don't know who KJ is or DW for that matter...but I think when an owner takes up money for season tix and the team ain't there the next year...the $$$ not refunded is what killed Hockey in Winston Salem...people are afraid of getting burned again...I know there have been several to talk about this at many games I have attended....I can't place blame any where...except on that...it gives it a bad rep...and yes I am sure guys have lost money...but it is gonna take someone staying it through...I know no one likes to loose money...but it is gonna take proof that a team will stay....it takes time to earn trust back..in any situation...when ppl see that it isn't some fly by two year stay...then ppl will see "hey, this is for real"...then and only then I think you will see a change in WS hockey.

18 games: 18 goals and 14 helpers.
Looks like the talent level in the EPHL is not up to par with the SPHL. Or maybe he likes playing there and not in W-S?
