The SPHL Commissioner will be in Pensacola next week. He has requested a meeting with those interested in the return of Ice Hockey to Pensacola. One or more SPHL Owner(s) are accompanying the Commissioner on this visit to Pensacola.
A Pensacola Team Ownership is in place, they have submitted a lease to the County Commissioners for the 2009-2010 Season, plus a coach has been identified – all names (Owner(s)/Coach) are familiar to Pensacola.
In support of the Commissioner’s request, I call for Ice Pilots Booster Club Members to be at New York Nicks next Monday (April 6th at 5:30 pm). Please consider this also as an open invite to all Season Ticket Holders from years gone by, Youth and Adult ice hockey team members and their families, the Ice Dancers, SHIP (Save Hockey in Pensacola) members, and all those who wish to have Professional Ice Hockey returned to Pensacola.
Help us make our visitors welcome by filling New York Nicks to standing room only, Also feel free to pass on this message to your friends and family members – The more that attend, the better the showing that we REALLY want Ice Hockey in Pensacola.
The proposed lease is on the County Commissioners’ agenda for Thursday (April 9th), 9:00 am meeting. So please e-mail and/or call your Commissioner, plus attend the morning meeting in support of the lease negotiation.
This is all per the president of the still operating Pensacola Ice Pilots Booster Club.
