Heard the former Snake, and vet Lorne Misita is headed to Pensacola. If so, it is IMO a great pick up for an expansion team. Lorne has a lot of heart and ability. May hurt a bit seeing him in another sweater.

Good pickup. I also read on another board that they picked up Clay Lewis. I guess that will bring their brawn to the game.

I think for an expansion team to waste a veteran spot on Misita is crazy. Yes he did score a lot of points for the snakes but it was because he was a puck hog. He didn't pass to teammates who were open for better shots but rather forced the shot on his own. This happened multiple times every game for the past two years. The guy is all about himself and sure as heck would not want him on my team being my leader.

Early rumors had him coming to Fayetteville ... but it didn't make sense given our own vet situation!

I see this thread moving to the hockey rumor forum unless you can provide links. But I agree, Lewis & Misita will be good pickups although I wasn't that big of a Lewis fan while he was here in Knoxville. He was used very sparingly but is a physical player....

This should be moved to the Rumors section. I don't have a link to this but I was face to face when KJ when he confirmed that the Ice Flyers, like every other team, have players signed right now but not announced.

did you ever look at who misita was playing with... if i had the people misita had on his line... i'd shoot the puck the whole time too... when you give a player with his talent garbage to play with... what do you expect...
